Paul Buckermann

Paul Buckermann studied sociology and political science at Bielefeld University. 2013-2014 doctoral student at Bielefeld Graduate School in History and Sociology. 2014-2016 research assistant and doctoral student at DFG funded Research Training Group Automatisms: Cultural Techniques of Complexity Reduction at Paderborn University. 2014-2016 teaching assignments in sociological theory, sociology of the arts, and organizational studies at Bielefeld University. Since 2016 doctoral student at the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Lucerne. Since 2016 research assistant in NCCR eikones Module "Visual Semantics and Visual Observations" at University of Lucerne, directed by Prof. Cornelia Bohn. Buckermann’s dissertation projects focuses on quantifying comparisons and evaluations in contemporary art worlds and related communicative and globalizing effects.
