Andrei Pop

Studium der Kunstgeschichte und Computer Science an der Stanford University (Bachelor of Arts, 2003) und der Kunstgeschichte an der Harvard University (Master 2007; 2010 Promotion mit einer Dissertation über Heinrich Füssli).

Pop ist Rezipient des Boothe Prize for Excellence in Writing, Stanford University (2001), des Albert Elsen Prize in Art History, Stanford University (2003), eines Ashford Dissertation Fellowships der Harvard University (2003-009) und des Gordon Gray Grant for Writing Pedagogy, Harvard University (2007). 2008-10 war er Samuel H. Kress Predoctoral Fellow am Center for Advanced Study in the Visual Arts, National Gallery of Art, Washington DC (2008-2010).

Lehrtätigkeit an der Harvard Universität (Certificate of Distinction for Excellence in Teaching, 2007), an der Kunstuniversität Linz, 2010-2011 an der Universität Wien und an der Universität Basel. Internationale Vortragstätigkeit.

Pop war von 2011-2014 Assistent am Lehrstuhl für neuere Kunstgeschichte an der Universität Basel.

Pop ist für Redakteur für Kunsttheorie und Historiographie, CAA.Reviews.
